The bicentennial fuchsia is looking much better this week! I've cut back a little bit on the watering. I think the damage I reported earlier was most likely from transporting it to our home when we purchased the plant. Thank you to @ShelleySnyder @Cyndi @treefrog44 @lovestogarden @tinaaune @KariSamuel for taking the time to post a comment and share your experience. I am a newbie to Garden Tags and am loving the app AND the community!

Why are my fuchsia blossoms brown?

It almost looks like water damage... hmmm ... You might consider removing the blooms that are looking bad & seeing how things progress. We could ask some other brilliant minds too! #advice #help @lovestogarden @cyndi @tinaaune @ShelleySnyder @treefrog44 @columbiariver - Any thoughts? I have never grown fuchsia before!

@KariSamuel thanks for the tag and confidence! I've not had this happen before but make sure your pot is draining good cuz I don't think they can take sitting in water, other than that I'm rather stumped, sorry Joan!💘😍

Are all the blooms like this? Or just this one? If only a few I would also consider physical damage, if those blooms had been pressed up close against something or if the pot swung around and they were hit😊

I only had the basket for about two weeks now. These are the only open buds. There are numerous buds about to open. The closed buds are looking healthy so far.

@LadySheba I agree with @tinaaune possible physical damage. They are a cool weather plant too, so if your weather is heating up that could be an issue.

I too agree with @tinaaune and @treefrog44. It looks good, besides the few. She is pretty. 😎 Remember to add the person's tag if you want someone specific to get notice. ( @KariSamuel thank you for the tag and complement 💞.)
