Neoregelia

My two identical #bromeliads are starting to bloom with these cute little purple flowers. First time either has flowered.

@gjones It’s like another universe in there! They haven’t flowered like this before so I didn’t even know they could.

Moved a #neoregelia #bromeliad to a different basket. It’s was dry here for several weeks and now it’s been raining nonstop for days — great for the earth, less great for my need to get out and garden!

Thank you @Dragon_Warrior, I have another in a hanging basket that’s in a shadier spot and it is a pretty green now. I love them.

@docthrill It’s a basket planter that I could never find the right plant for because it’s pretty shallow inside. I lined the bottom with burlap and added a blend of orchid bark and cactus potting mix. I’ll try to get some pictures from different angles to show you.
