One of the babies are turning with pink and red splashes! I'm assuming it's happening because of sun stress... she's very healthy and producing more variegated leaves. I think i like it! #variegated-maranta #maranta-leuconeura

Lovely plant. Mine has the pink variegation too. The pink is even on the new unfurling leaves. Very cool 💚🤍💗

@hkyfvr lol Diane, just when I think I'm super cool lol 😎 😅 is it from the sun or just a random mutation? Did you notice they are selling variegated marantas now? Just put it in the sun and let it mature! Thought I was cool with that too 🤣

Hi Candace. I got mine back in the early Winter and I had not seen a variegated one before that and have not seen any since in our area. The pink appeared on mine right after I got it. Mine was several feet from an east facing window so I don’t think it was from the sun. More of the new leaves have the pink in them now. 🤷‍♀️ I love the new variegation. 💗

@hkyfvr I've had mine for a couple years. Bought as a regular green maranta. A year ago or more it started producing variegation, which I posted on here for documentation. Just this spring the pink is coming out on the new baby offshoots. Mine is in a west window. In my search of new and unique plants I'm seeing ppl selling variegated marantas, the same thing that you and I have for higher prices. Maybe this plant mutates with maturity and sun exposure? Regardless, it's fun to watch!

She's about 2 years old... I broke a teenie tiny stem and stuck it in soil in a new pot... those are coming up all variegated. Feeling so blessed! Lol
