Loropetalum chinense

Any help identifying this little plant? I’ve had it for many years. The flowers are so intricate. It loses most of it’s leaves during winter. I trim its dead branches in the late spring and it seems to love this pot. It has become a family member. 😃 #chinesefringeflower

Thanks @cyndi this is great info. The flowers do resemble witch hazel but the pink threw me off. I’m amazed that they are a tree that can grow so big. Perhaps I should set it free and plant it in the garden. 😃
