I love plants and gardening! I'm working on turning my black thumb to green. Hopefully this app can help. I'm in USDA Zone 8A.

12/11/2019 This is still my favorite #orchid since I've had it for over a year and it's been in bloom for most of that time. I've only had to clip two small offshoots of the spike. This orchid has done so great that I have coworkers asking me to rehab their poor orchids and I got to help repot ten orchids! It was the best. I hope I didn't kill them.

8/29/2019 My #moth-orchid has so much new growth! This is its third or so time reblooming. I've had it since about October 2018 or so and it makes me pretty happy it's done so well.

8/2/2019 We have a rebloom! This is my first full size orchid and it's doing the best! It's so exciting seeing it growing new buds and not having to cut away a dead spike. I can't wait for the rest of the buds to open up! #phalaenopsis

7/17/2019 This #orchid is making a come back! I hadn't cut the stems since it looked like it was still healthy and thank goodness! I noticed the sap on the ends of the three remaining spikes a couple weeks ago and decided to ignore it, though a lot said to clean it off to avoid attracting bugs. The sap has lessened and there's buds and possibly a new spike growing in from one of the nodes!

1/2/2019 My orchid survived my being gone for over a week thanks to a helpful coworker! There even appears to be a little bud growing on the tip of one of the stems! #mothorchid

12/21/2018 I'm abandoning my #orchid for 11 days! I have a co-worker who can water her for me in a week so hopefully she can last until then. I considered bringing her with me but I worry that would be more traumatic. I'm a bit concerned about all of my plants. Hopefully my friends can keep them alive and not kill them. At least many are going into hibernation...

12/18/2018 She keeps losing flowers but she also keeps developing buds. She currently has five flowers and three buds. Hopefully she can manage to stay alive over the Christmas break. #orchid

12/11/2018 I swear this was three buds yesterday but work was crazy so maybe I overlooked her. She's more yellow than the other flowers. It's very interesting. #orchid

11/1/2018 The huge orchid from work is doing great! Our plant lady stopped by and offered me a job since I've kept it looking so great for a couple weeks now. Nice thing is she also advised me how to water it best tomorrow.

I'm not really sure which type of Moth Orchid hybrid this is but it's huge! I got it from my work and I'm pretty excited, though I'm a smidge worried for the roots. I may ask a local nursery to be sure. (I think I received this on Oct. 16, 2018.)
