How ingenious! Can you get an umbrella to cover the whole garden - now there’s a gap in the market 😂

#cataloguing mint seems to have survived winter so far. Does anyone know what the ivy type plant is called?

Mints like a good chill. If too cold they just go to sleep

They're in the right place then😅what about the shade? I've got them in quite a shaded bit

Shade is fine. They thrive in shade unlike oregano or thyme.

@ublaszko Any others that do well in shade? This is the start of my herb collection

Chives, parsley, coriander. There are quite a few herbs that do well in shade but these are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head.

Sorry I haven’t got a clue Leno, I just know it’s Ivy and very beneficial to wildlife. Try Lin @linfoster 👍👍

I'd be tempted to start with all the herbs you like and then see what thrives and what doesn't. You can always move them to more sun or give them away. They're not expensive and they don't need much maintenance. Personally, I prefer perennial herbs.
