Been gardening for a good number of years now. Love the cottage garden look and growing lots of herbs. Huge fan of companion gardening.

Amazing how stuff just grows this time of year and goes berserk if not looked after! #herbs #comfrey

@linfoster there's usually loads around here too but not been beyond my office for a fortnight! Think today might be the day to wander off to the pub and have a look!

Great for liquid feed

@ada31514 I tend to use it more as a compost activator than as liquid feed, more out of laziness than anything

@berwynjones this is where i grow my comfrey. Between the compost bins and the gooseberry bush. Seems to do ok and certainly hasn't invaded the garden.

Anyone else grow and use comfrey? We use it in our compost bin to give it a but of oomph but never actually used it to make liquid feed

Monty donne was talking about soaking comfry flowers to make garden feed last night i didnt know what he was talking about until now. Thank you

@mftb it's the leaves which get soaked to make liquid feed. I started growing comfrey with the idea of making plant feed but somehow never got round to it. It does act as a good compost activator though.

I put it in net bags in my water butts it stinks to high heaven so it must be good 😄

@berwynjones do you compost the residue after you've made the liquid feed? I've just cut back quite a lot so am thinking of giving it a go....
