@sieveheadsarah getting better and better
I don’t normally like marigolds but this is changing my mind...
I love #calendula fab self seeders too
It's fabulous 😍😍
Calendula are fab Elaine, I've grown them from seed for the first time this year and I'm hooked, I've no idea why they call them pot marigolds as they're nothing like a marigold 🤔🤔 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom I'll tag you in a pic of mine 👍🏼
This brings back memories of my Dads garden , he loved pot marigolds 🧡🧡🧡 @lordshankar Thank you it made me smile 😊

Extreme orange
Is this the same one that was starting to open the other day. 😊 sunny orange!
Exactly! Same flower. Very difficult to capture the original orange color of the flower... Phone camera is going blind! @bluefox23

Help me identify this plant please.
Could it be a type of zinnia? I'm not convinced though. Might need to wait till the flower opens up. 🤷♀️😊
The leaves look like a marigold plant I had just a darker flower.
Think it’s a Marigold @lordshankar
@pixierose @lovemygarden65 oh I thought Marigolds had pointier/spikier shaped leaves? Or is that just one type of marigold? You learn something new . . . 👍🏼😊
It's a #calendula otherwise known as #potmarigold 😀👍🏼😀
Yes I do remember buying some calendula seeds. I thought the plant will be small but they are getting bigger and bigger. It must for a large pot then! Thanks @bluefox23 @pixierose @lovemygarden65 @sieveheadsarah
I've grown them from seed for the first time this year, will definitely grow them again next year and prefer them to French Marigolds!!
@sieveheadsarah Ah it's the French marigolds I was thinking of. 👍🏼
Yep it's definitely pot marigold. They start off small but mine get taller and taller and sprawl sideways...! I did the Chelsea chop on one and it's much neater and has stayed under control. @sieveheadsarah @bluefox23 @lordshankar
Ooh that's good to know Kim, I'm not going to bother with the French Marigolds next year, these Calendula are much better and less thirsty @Mikekally
I actually have french marigolds for the first time this year, and love them too. Very different plants! Also my pot marigolds keep getting (and spreading) powdery mildew, so keep an eye out! @sieveheadsarah @lordshankar
In a totally different angle
