Love the blooms on this Easter cactus. I didn’t know they were so different from the Xmas cactus. Of course there both very cool looking. My leaves are dropping of my Xmas one. It’s healthy there’s a pic in my profile of it, not to long ago. Should I repost it. Is it because the branches are touching and hanging over edge of pot???? No rush to answer but I’m not sure what to do. Yours is very pretty 🤗🤗🤗😊💕

@cyndi, I too have lost a few cuttings that had red outlines on the leaves. I think this plant is more difficult to propagate than the other two #zygocactus.

@hannahchristine my memory is that of a goldfish. Check out the shape of the leaf. If it is really rounded, then, yes it is this. ❤

@terrimclaughlin they are very different, aren't they?! If your leaves are falling off, it has nothing to do with them touching the pot. It sounds more like too much water/moisture. Only water them when the soil is dry. If the soil stays wet too long, you will need to add some perlite for air. See if this perks it up. You can always remove it from the soil for a few days in the shade and let the roots dry out a bit. ❤

@lovestogarden lol its round i do hope its this @terrimclaughlin i have mine outside in full shade maybe its to cold in your house i had mine inside for a week and wasnt doing well jesse keeps it at 68 degrees in here the ac but maybe its what @lovestogarden said about moist or maybe to wet

This is the #eastercactus earlier shown with the orange flowers. It has had this strange coloration on this one stalk. It runs straight up the center of the woody part. Does anyone know what it is? #whatisit #strange

Is it a lower one? They cork with age and turn a paler colour. Weird because that looks like a strip of paper with a print of blueberries on it! Or am I going crazy?!! Anyhoo it's probably just corking 😄
