Mine came tagged painted lady but the double pink blooms told me otherwise. ☺ this is beautiful, now I know what painted lady is supposed to look like

@lesliecole49 double pink sounds pretty too. I do love this one. I have never seen a hibiscus form seeds before, mater of fact, didn't know they did until recently. I will keep a watch and if there are any seeds, I know you could use them.

That would be very nice. ☺ mine had 3 buds early this yr that dropped off. Then not another. I did read that too much heat might do that, and it's been very hot here. It's healthy otherwise so I'm not too concerned.

@lovestogarden - Janice, that’s a beaut! I have 2, but they haven’t been keen on blooming this year. 1 or 2, now & then. And the bushes have stayed smaller than all the others. Bushes look healthy. Can’t figure out their problem. I bought them the smallest, maybe they just need another year. Yours is really gorgeous, considering all the ash! 🌴🌺🐾

Carla, might they need some fertilizer? They are a plant that needs quite a lot of potassium (this is the third number in the fertilizer's make up) in their soil. @cschulz02

@lovestogarden - Oh, you know, they just might. I haven’t fed them for a while, & the soil leaches easily. They’re hardy around here & can deal with the soil, but maybe since they were such little starters....it makes sense. They probably need more codling than the others. Thanks Janice! 🌴🌺🐾

I have 2 of these & they have been a hard start. But their leaves are a rich green now & I'm just waiting for the buds to open. Don't know why they were so hard to get going, but they look fine now. I, too, am wanting a shield from the house across the street! I'm depending on all 5 of my variations to do that. Very beautiful pic of yours, btw. Both the plant & the presentation. 🍀🌿🌺
