In my parkway tree I found a tiny #hummingbird #nest today! It is so tiny. The "pear" next to it is only +/- 5/8" (15mm). #wildlife #wildlifewednesday #southerncalifornia 29 July 2020 😷😎👏👏👏

This is a very rare sighting, I agree. I only saw it because I was trimming branches that were way too long. I wish I could see if anything was in it. I don't want to bother it even by being near it. @columbiariver @gjones

The Pyrus calleryana (Callery Pear) are #blooming along our street's parkway. It is a month late, but always beautiful. The next big wind will give us our 'snow' as the #white petals fall. 😀 #pyrus-calleryana #callerypeartree #ornamental #southerncalifornia #california 7 February 2019

What do u feed your pear tree??? A friend of mine gave me one two years ago but right now I have no blooms I’m thinking I need to feed it!!! I don’t know a thing about fruit trees. Sad this one grows straight up it would b nice if it would’ve been a shade tree. I need some advice on care. Yours looks great

Terri, mine is a mock pear, so it only produces these flowers and a mess on my side walk. 😁 For a REAL pear tree, you might Google what it says. @terrimclaughlin

If it were me, I would take a bag of steer manure and dump it on your tree. It is a bit early for blooms, here, however, everything thinks it is Spring.

My tree is in full bloom now and forgiven for dropping the nasty berries. The breeze catches the tree and pettles fall. We call it our snow. 😁

Leslie today I swept up enough to fill a five gallon bucket and only got part of it. Birds nor dogs eat mine...But I would share! @lesliecole49
