This #Sansevieria zeylanica is fully stuck inside its container. It has been left way too long needing to be divided. Multiple times two of us working on it, only a couple of broken pieces came free. Soaking also did not help. I think shovel maybe needed. π₯΄πͺ #snakeplant-divsion #snakeplant #sanseveria-zeylanica #southerncalifornia 6 December 2020 π·

Post the end result. I would have gone through all that trouble too. Thatβs a nice pot, would have been a shame to break it

I will if I get it out! π David it is a fantastic pot; really heavy duty and old. @docthrill

I love old pots too, my brother has brought me some pretty cool ones

Thats alot of growth

Once they pack in there, they are really packed!

@docthrill that is nice.

@mardel it is. π

That is evident here Leslie. π Sooo packed! @lesliecole49

I think this was the patient. Lucky he had a good loving dr.!!!ππ

Wow Janice! I simply love the colours and textures together in this photo! They are really lovely together. π

It's looking great and full I tried propagating it by leaf with no success. It looks so sparse wish my looked like yours but ur grows sooo slow

Looking good I lost some of mine and they seem tough but do you tho I should re-pot them Iβm not sure their about your size but about a third froze silly me forgot and left them outside booo. Maybe Iβll wait til fall. Nice area great balance. Have a good one π€π€ππ
@docthrill - I finally got it put of he pot. The pot is completely fine I am happy to say. I kept rolling it (after removing about 15 loose pups) and I slid a trowel along the sides. sansevieria #sansevieria-zeylanica #rootbound #southerncalifornia 14 December 2020
π³ some plants are a real adventure to get out of the pot especially if you want to save the pot! ππ
Love free plants π±π±π±π±π±
Yes, @ShelleySnyder with the goal of not only not breaking the pot, but also not my back. π±π this pot is really heavy and the plant crazy heavy, between the two AND pulling it, I took it slowly before success was finally achieved. πͺ
Yes, @docthrill, I see some gifting in the future. π
Thxs for telling me how to carefully get those out I have a bunch just like that except the pot is about 10 or 12β. Hoping mine cones out just as good sounds like patience is a big part of the success. Take care!!!π€£πππ
@terrimclaughlin, I don't know if time was needed, but I was scared to break the pot π. It worked! This pot has a 14" diameter. Good luck with yours and be careful of your back! β€οΈπ·
