Looks more like a Gardenia leaf???
If this is a vine (?), I think @Luna_Lina is correct, this is Arabian Jasmine which will flower in Winter in warm climates (N.Qld). Flowers and leaf of Arabian Jasmine, which is a vine, look like miniature Gardenia and flowers all year in warm areas. Gardenia is a shrub that flowers (in Qld) from late Spring, through early Summer (Nov-Dec) with another burst of flowers early Autumn (Oct). @ausgardentags @cyndi 🐝
It did seem early for a gardenia but this plant is in the tropics! @Annettenoosa

@ausgardentags, @cyndi @Annettenoosa, it looks like a groomed shrub and it only started flowering a few days ago. Tropical winter. Thanks for your thoughts guys 🤗 I was thinking gardenia as well first, but most photos online pointed at a jasmine.
I'll continue to compare leaves and flowers with photos online, and I'll see what seems to fit 👍👍not 100% myself.
Maybe post a pic of the whole bush?
