So I read about 'topping' chilli plants and how it can promote 'bushyness' so I rushed off and topped my two biggest plants. In hindsight I now think they were too big to top (already had their "y's") and I should have left as is. Will removing the big leaf's promote the new stems to grow more?
No idea. Sorry.
@novicegardenlover not a direct answer to my question but I've read... More leaves = more surface area to collect light for photosynthesis = happy plant. 😃 So I'm leaving them alone. 😎
Great idea. I've seen the principle in practice with my Dad's mango tree. It bears more profusely on the upper and outer branches. Needs a trim but it's huge!

Almost wrote these off. Wasn't impressed with the flavour. Few weeks later, and the flavour is developing. Nice heat in the seeds too.
