So the cutting died, but this is the original plant it was taken from going on strong. I think it was too young for cuttings. I'll try again next year maybe.

#need-help I took a cutting from a #gooseberry, applied a little rooting powder and planted as pictured. The leaves appear to be drying up. Is this normal while it tries to establish its roots? Any suggestions are appreciated. Sorry I'm a complete novice but keen to learn. Thanks in advance.

As with all cuttings, it’s good to spritz the leaves occasionally and pop over half a plastic bottle to retain moisture in the leaves ☺️
Think I've found an #ant-cow-farm #aphid-farm on my #gooseberry . Not a single one on any other branch and you can just see an 🐜 escaping at the bottom of the picture.
Wow! Well camouflaged.
@novicegardenlover of the picture could pan out, you'd see me holding another leaf up out the way. Very well hidden indeed. 😁
