28/09/18 apologies for the rubbish photo, but this flower stayed open until I got home today. It's not the most spectacular but I'm proud that without grow lights or even a south facing window in miserable England, I've successfully had a flower on my lithops

Oh, that's wonderful!

This is not a rubbish photo! I find it compelling -- it clearly shows the plant reaching for light just like your caption explains, and the camera angle is unique and surprising. And the flower is a pop of brightness on a darker background. There is nothing at all rubbish about this dearie!!
