The Japanese anemone you normally divide either after flowered or in the spring, camellia normally after they have finished flowering up to about September, using sharp secateurs or a knife cut about 6 inch/ 15cm from the top below a leaf joint strip bottom leaves and put in a gritty compost which needs to be kept moist (not wet) at all times
