Time to being this beauty indoors, leaves not looking good but I believe that's normal. #hibiscustree

@Cyndi This is my first hibiscus I bought it at Costco I heard plants from there won't bloom again, my hibiscus did great outside it bloomed all year round. I'm nervous bringing her indoors ,so water it less often ...like a succulent?

We are under frost advisory had to bring this beauty in from my deck, was it necessary? @KariSamuel
KariSamuel
I would have! Better safe than sorry.... I brought in several that maybe would have been ok. We are under a frost advisory as well. 🙁

@KariSamuel I did, thanks for the affirmation.
Checking my #hibiscus tree this morning and I found these little critters on the new leaves of my tree...ugh I sprayed it with a diy spray and moved it away from my other plants, not sure what they are and how bad are they to plants . #infested #bugs #help-id #plant #indoor-plants
@cyndi Oh man, never had to deal with aphids or any other infestation. I use a mix of water, soap and alcohol thanks for the tips
Definitely aphids. Keep at them... daily checks. I have them on a few of mine that I brought in for overwintering.
@KariSamuel This one was outside I'm so scared my other plants might get them too . Hopefully I moved her away in time
I had a sweet potato vine that held onto them all last winter.... 😫 Eventually I won! This year it's my umbrella plant / schefflera...
@KariSamuel oh no...sorry to hear that
#neemoil alcohol and a lot of monitoring... it's a pain. However, before Gtags, I never would have the jungle I do now - so I'm sure glad that I am fortunate enough to HAVE this problem! @mardel
@KariSamuel I agree, my plant collection and knowledge of their care is all thanks to the #gardentagsteam #plantfamilies
😵 get'm!
@lovestogarden Thank Janice, I'm gonna try never dealt with a problem like this but it's to be expected I guess. I did have this tree outside I just hope my succulents didnt get affected.
I have never seen them on my succulents. They do like Hoya, but only new growth. These are pretty easy to get rid of I should think.
Yes, they are persistent. I've used soapy water with good results, but you should rinse it off after a few hours. Neem is good, and good for maintainence and health of a plant. Good luck.
