I received this little bromelia plant it came from Ikea. Not sure what kind it it and I killed one years ago, I need care tips please.. #planthelp PlantID #plant #advice #bromelia #gift Help me identify this plant

I would make sure there is some drainage and when U water it just fill the reservoir the plant has in the middle. Certain ones die after they flower but some will send out a pup before they kick the bucket.

@heatherdirtyhands it looks like a flower might be growing from the center should I still put water in there?

I agree with @heatherdirtyhands. Additionally, they are tropical plants, so they love humid conditions! Let's name it with the #bromeliad #unknownvariety so you have general care instructions!

I noticed that too. Is there like a "cup" area its coming from? May have to wait to water that way till.its taller and out of the way? U can water the dirt till then. But make sure u have drainage. In the wild these grow on trees so they dont want alot of packed in soil u know
