Thank you so much, moved to a house with a garden a couple of months ago, 33 month Son helping me do a the weeds.... I think he can spot a weed to a plant better than me. Your help is appreciated. :-)
I find that they get floppy mid-summer so best to chop them all the way back when it happens (especially the stems that get brown/woody at the base). They grow new leaves super quickly and look much better and get 2nd flush of flowers that last until late October. Also avoid fertilising them and only water if the soil is dry. This way they stay more compact and the flowering stems remain upright. Lots of people get frustrated with geraniums going floppy but treat them mean and they'll reward you
Thank you so much for your help ublaszko, I can see I am going to enjoy my garden, I was a bit concerned with my lack of experience/knowledge however support so far on here is fantastic! :-)
Help me identify this plant or weed?
Looks like geranium

The leaves look like geranium oxonianum. Not sure which cultivar but I'm almost sure it's one of the oxonianum types
