This variety flowers well above it's developing name sake Elephant ears. Some dislike Bergenia but I happen to like it growing in the shadow of the Spirea Magic Capet. A real winner!
This was planted last year so I kept it well watered in its first season with a regular tomato feed in the water in the growing season twice a week. Diligently removed the poorest quality of leaves through the year and finally cleaned up the plant in January just as some new leaves started to grow. I also think it's a great variety the leaves are an awesome colour too.

It's lovely, know it's not popular but don't care although mine don't seem to have floweres so well this year 🙄
Looks absolutely great with the Spirea 👍 they do get a bad rap but if you tidy and split them every now and again they do a great job 🙂
I love the flowers 🌸 but not so much the foliage...always seems to look a bit tatty 😬
How do you get them to produce more flowers, as mine has only produced 1 steamed flower this year so far, bug loads of elephant ears
