About ready to plant out. #new #dahlia for me. Wondering whether to cut the tips out to get it to bush out a little more 🤔🤔🤔

Deffo @mattfeaton let it get to about 12-18" tall, then pinch out the growing tips and if you're feeling brave, thin it out to around 5-7 strong stems. This will give you really strong bushy plants with loads of flowers! I've got Nuit d'ete and it likes this treatment... Lots of lovely blooms! 🏵️💮🏵️💮🏵️

Do it Matt, you won't regret it 😀 and don't forget to protect them from the slimers... They love young Dahlias, the rotters!

@LadySmiff well I've planted them out and was fairly brave. Managed to drop one on its head getting it out of the pot so I had to be really brave with that one. So clumsy!! 😆😆 but already looking good after a couple of days 😊😊

Well done, perfect weather for it! Post some pics when they've grown on. I dropped one of mine on its head yesterday as well, think mine may be mortally wounded though! 😁👍🌿🏵️
