Rosa 'American Pillar'

#americanpillar #rose pretty much looking at it's best the flowers are glowing 😁

I’ve got this rose - it’s never looked this good 👍🏻

@sharonhayden it's gone really well the past couple of years, gets full sun and I prune it back quite hard just leaving main stems as it starts to shoot in spring, it used to be very small and not do much against a tree, but it now loves its new position 😀

@anges a faint scent, no where near as fragrant as the rosa rugosa in my front garden 😀

@anges last year it was bonkers! I've cut it back by third this year and still looks like it's going to produce alot of flowers 😃

A bit unusual, new cane growing from the base started normally then went really thick, now looks like its separating into 2 👀😀

This #rose had had its #prune a little bit further back than I have done in the past, but it wasnt done properly last year so I've got in early this time. The results will speak for themselves in the #summer 🤞🤞👍👍

I remember this one from last year 💕 Mine's put a bit of growth on this year so I'm hoping to see more flowers 🌸

@anges it was packed with flowers last year so maybe a little subdued this year but it was getting a bit too big 😃 happier with the shape of it now

@anges I have no idea it was in the garden when I moved in. Moved it to here after a year in a pot and it's been amazing for the last 3 years. So bright!

It's fab, bet it's American Pillar - looks like a rambler. Don't think they have a strong scent. I put one in last year and it looks like it will get going this year - hope it ends up like yours! 😀 💕

Thanks @anges it has plenty of new string shoots I'll need to rein in. I've done nothing special bit of blood and bone early spring and keep tieing in the shoots horizontally. Bees all over it today :) good luck with yours 😀
