@mau5588 welcome to GT! I grow about 8-10 different varities of hydrangea. While you can cut the mophead flowers off, I leave mine on and remove them in the spring. Almost all hydrangeas prefer more shade than sun and yours is a mophead variety. They prefer morning sun only and need a lot of water based on the number hours/strength of sunlight. The older varities only bloom on old wood but newer varities bloom on new growth. Add lime to make it pink and acid to get blue. Happy gardening!

Maldavis! It's incredible! I never thought that maybe I could add some lime I'm going to do it right now!! But I have a concern, I let like 1 inch of water all time for 3 weeks and that's when it start getting kind of dry

@mau5588 thank you for following my posts. The 'panaculata' hydrangea will take full sun. Their flowers are usually white but more of a cone or Christmas tree shape. Some of them are Tardiva, Limelight, and Smooth-Leaf. Best of luck to you with yours!

blossoms are done cut off. plant needs sun light. grows part to full sun hardy to US zone 7. read up on plant on google or library. welcome to gt
