When is it ok to lop the top off to encourage new shoots? Everywhere I can find online tells me it gets to around the 1m to 1.5m. However it's only been in the ground about a week and a half.
You can find other like-minded gardeners by tapping on Discover and then "Popular" or "Recommended". There you will see other great photos of plants and gardens and you can of course “follow” anyone that you see there should you like to do so!
Should you ever need to reply to a message in your feed or just want to say 'hello', simply @username an individual i.e. @teamgardentags and that person will get an alert in their profile. Really hope this is helpful and you enjoy using GT! 😃
I would wait until it establishes before pruning. About a year. Because you want it to concentrate on putting roots. If you prune you will stimulate green growth at the expense of root growth
Thanks Nej. I've had it for about 6 weeks and it's grown at least 6 inches since. I also read to wait until October / November before putting it into the ground. Couldnt wait that long!
I agree with @nej, let it settle in first. As hardy as they are transplanting shocks all plants, you will get better growth once it has found its feet 😊

It should still be okay. If you want to get someone's attention you have to put a # in front of their name ☺
Ok cool. Thanks for the advice!
