Plants
Complete beginner to the wonderful world of plants. Keen to gather knowledge and information to help my garden and home grow alittle more greener. 🌿
I suggest you deep soak the plant.
You need to submerge the whole pot into a bucket (or sink) of room-temperature water. The water level needs to be well over the rim / top of the pot.
Leave the pot in until the bubbles stop (takes longer the bigger the pot).
Do this regularly.
An important thing is to water thoroughly when you do water. You should water when the plant needs it and not just to a timetable. Stick your finger in the potting mix: is it dry, wet or just right? If wet: don’t water. If just right: water thoroughly. If dry: deep soak.
Thank you @brightcolours yes I check regularly to make sure it get enough water. It's in a 13cm pot and is near 30cm tall. I've never submerged it, I water it until the water flows through the drainage holes at the bottom. It's in a south facing window also.
I've been losing quite alot of leaves on this one. Does anyone have any advice for me please? Love this plant. #plant-advice #leaf-drop
Is it well watered? Stick your finger in the soil: dry, moist or wet?

How big is the pot? How tall is the plant? It might need a larger pot as the weather warms up?

In that case I’d give it a weak dose of a seaweed tonic and repot it in a few weeks time.
Perfect, thank you @brightcolours does the seaweed tonic help strengthen it? I've never used it.
Yes! It’s a tonic. Best applied weekly, in a weak dose.
