Found this on my quince a few weeks back - its "whiskers" were enormous! I wasnt sure what it was until it flew off #wildlifewednesday #whiskerswednesday 🦋

Looks very similar to a St. Mark's fly or Hawthorn Fly..

@solly1961 we get a lot of those, but definitely a moth rather than a fly.
