He really is worth every penny that I paid for him. At just under £40 my most expensive rose, he's just amazing. If the man himself knew that a rose so beautiful had been created for him he would be thrilled. I'm thrilled to have him too 👑🧡🧡

I am so amazed by Freddie this year. I counted 16, yes 16 coloured buds. I went to Southport for a few days, and when I came back they were all bloomed. What an incredible sight. Did you happen to catch the show must go on documentary. Just Curious what you think. I saw Queen in concert a few years ago with Adam Lambert. Didn’t want to go but friend in the music industry had free tickets. I was blown away at how good he was and acknowledged he could never replace Freddy.

The same Rose here. I've put a small Salvia Natchvlinder in front of him as Sarah Raven swears they prevent black spot. I've got a big Natchvlinder from S R, but the most it's had is a good drink of water. No way am I going out in the kind of weather we're due tomorrow 😳🧡🧡

I’m slowly bringing him round lol.. he was when he was younger, it was him who got me into it (showing him things grew from the ground ) now he’s acting like a typical teen... but this maybe the perfect one for him to care for... he’s just got me to buy him a cactus.. so fingers crossed. I’ve never got a plant off Amazon ... might have to re think my buying lol

Mary200631 Amazon is brilliant. Especially if you get Prime at a trial price, it's only 99p for a week. I got it delivered one or two days after ordering it and it was in great condition. I'm going to try and take a cutting from it after flowering but, I don't usually have any luck. I've never tried with a Rose but I'll give it a go. Perseverance pays 😀

I’m not great with cuttings either.. but I do believe roses are meant to be the easiest and there are a few different ways of doing it too... maybe try some different techniques... just found the rose and put it in my own virtual basket now too lol.. definitely going to have a look at other plants now.. I’m pondering a water Lilly for my small pond but not sure if there is a small variety so will have a look

What's the scent like?

@jeatacake It doesn't say it's scented on the label but I just went over and there seems to be a very slight fragrance. I've counted two more big buds and four! Little ones! I just new he was going to be a great little performer. So far the best rose I've bought. And I do have some special ones. I just wish (like Freddie) I'd kept the label with all of them 🙄♥️♥️🧡

@jeatacake Well, that's another one I can highly recommend. It's fantastic. I didn't cut it back last year, I just dead headed it and it's quite tall but, my garden can easily handle that. The flower spikes are huge on it. If I can find the photo I'll tag you 💜💜

Something does make me happy, this beautiful Freddie Mercury Rose. He's looking red at the moment, I really don't mind that but he's said to be pink, yellow and apricot in colour. Watch this space, hopefully he'll bloom in a few days. I can hardly wait 👑♥️♥️
