I just managed to snap this quickly before I came in. Another windy day but not as strong as yesterday. I'm feeling very upset, along with my sister. We found out yesterday that we can't visit mum outside at the care home. I've really had enough of this. The home is free of virus and always has been since this started. Fortunately, our family is too. How can they be allowed to inflict this misery on our mum and others in residence there. It's very wrong. We knew the outside visits wouldn't last
This sounds frustrating. Sorry.
As the weather is colder now. Why they had to rob us of just maybe two more visits, something should be put in place. My mum is 82 who knows how much longer she has. I really feel this decision is an infringement on our elderly's human rights and no thought for their mental well being 😓😱
I'm sorry to hear this Chris but either of you could be asymptomatic and not know that you are carrying the virus. How would you feel if you inadvertently gave it to your mum, it doesn't bear thinking about. I do sympathise with you ❤
I have to agree with Jane😔 But totally understand how you feel. My mum is in a nursing home, we tried garden visits but they didn't work for us so we Skype once a week. It's horrid and I can't wait to be able to hold my mums hand, but for now Skype-ing is all we can do😥. Stay strong, best wishes.
😔 sorry you can't visit your mum - it's such a difficult situation xx
Must be very difficult for you all
@pelly Who knows, but we haven't been too close to mum. We had to keep our distance 🤔 it's not right that this could well be, from what they say, for winter. That's much too long to not see our mum 💕💕
@cee Skype would work for some Celina but as, my poor mum is completely deaf. It wouldn't be much use to her. It's never even been mentioned at the care home 🤔💕💕
@debs69 We just can't imagine going back to months not seeing her. But, to even say no to a window visit, is ridiculous. I didn't like window visits but they were better than nothing, which is what we have now. 😱😓💕💕Love to you and wonderful Wilf 🧡🖤
@anges Thank you so much Ange, it certainly is 😓
I really do sympathise and if the idiots that are carrying on like there is nothing wrong would only behave we might not be in this situation 😬

@philstalder Me too, can't wait ♥️♥️
It’s a fabulous colour ❤️❤️❤️
@pelly I'll check on it today. Hopefully with this nice bit of sun ♥️♥️
🤞🤞❤️
She's looking fab, just this one flower stem but, she's so lovely. I can hardly wait to see her next year and all the new Tulips in spring. What a lovely time that will be 😁💕💕♥️♥️
Beautiful colours on this one Chris 💞
@anges It should be even better next year adorned with super pinkness 😁💕💕
Oh yes! You could take cuttings too for even more! 😆
Isn’t it great to have something positive to look forward to, Chris? No matter how many restrictions or lockdowns we’re subjected to Mother Nature will continue to bring us joy! Your salvia is a real beauty 💖😘
Love it. 😍
@jacaranda Absolutely Barbara. Thank goodness for our wonderful gardens, it's certainly my salvation ♥️♥️
@anges I hadn't even thought of that, knowing my luck with cuttings 😳I must try though 💕💕
Beautiful Salvia, love that colour. 💗
You've nothing to lose... salvias 'take' quite easily from my experience 👍🙂
@solly1961 I was amazed when I saw it at Tong GC. I first saw it in a garden magazine and then the Sarah Raven brochure. Glad you like it 💕💕
@anges Thank you so much, that's really good to know 💕💕♥️
