@jeatacake I was robbed this year. I had several flaming Parrots last year but only got two this year. I'm digging them all up when they've finished so, they have to come back next time! ♥️♥️

@kez001uk It's tiny this time round. They were a decent size last year. I'm going to dig up all my Tulips in the hope that when I re plant them, they will come back. How could they not 🤔

@midnightgardener it’s got to be worth a try. I’m really confused by them - some come back, some don’t. I think it must depend on location and type of tulip 🤔

#flashback to Spring; when my Flaming Parrots were in glorious bloom. I learned something this week that I know to be true; in Garden Answers magazine it said that Tulips unlike Daffodils don't always come back year after year. I remembered some Tulips I planted last year didn't come back this year. I hope my Parrots do, they were wonderful 😊😊❤❤💛💛Has anyone else experienced this?

Mine came back but weren't as big and didn't flower as long as they did in the first year.

@lilybee Hi Sue! Yes it said that happened too. Apparently on heavy clay soil it happens. I don't have heavy clay but there is some I've discovered. My Parrots should be alright as they weren't near any clay 😊😊

These are absolutely fabulously frilly! Love them! I had some for the first time last year - think I will pot them up again and see what happens. They need to be planted nice and deep with a bit of grit- fingers crossed 😊

@anges I've never used grit no reason why though. I had some in a pot and they were great. Lasted well too, I had some in the garden too. They did well 😊😊

@lovemygarden Oh no Marylin 😮mine took a while to bloom though. Every day I used to go out and they remained tight shut! Then finally a few weeks ago they put on such a show! I need more next year. That'll be another 2 packs in the basket!!😃🌷🌷

I had to bring one of my prized Parrots in today. It was really bending over so into a vase it went; with a few Double Tahiti Daffs. I hope it manages to open up but we'll see. 😊😊🌷🌷🌷🌷

@jaynhynesburton 😀I'd like to think so. Funny thing is; I'm always taking photos of the garden or flowers. When I get clicking in doors the camera (phone) always homes in on Matrylin's beautiful face. It doesn't do that when I'm taking pics with my cats 😊😊ooh lovely but very chilly day here in West Yorkshire I hope it's warmer where you are ❤
