Very safe colour combinations I know by nice all the same :) I'm not sure what the big pink puffy wildflower is called, it is one of mums and I keep seeing it everywhere I go at the minute #pink

That wildflower is called valerian. She will self seed around your garden so make sure you dead head before seed sets 😊

That valerian should attract bees and butterflies and if you're really lucky - a hummingbird hawk moth or two! Very pretty, must add it to my wishlist! 🌸

@jonners73 Yes Kim, quite often saw them as I was packing up for the day when I worked as a gardener. We had a big clump of valerian next to my tool shed! Never saw them earlier in the day though 🤔

@jonners73 just nipped out and one of my valerians could do with deadheading-would you cut the long stem back or just to down to the little leaves 🍃/node bit or just full of the flowery bit? #deadheading

Just cut to the next set of leaves with the hope some flowers before the frosts arrive. In late autumn when it stops flowering you can cut it down to the base or wait until spring. 😊

Think I'll do this as a planter tomorrow to nurse these little sea breezes for a while. I was going to put the gypsophila in this basket but don't think it's quite big enough #seabreeze-wins-over-babysbreath #wicker-planter

Thankyou @flof1952 I first saw these colourful daisy like plants on a visit to Ampthill , they had spread right around a White House with black iron gates and looked so quaint, I'm hoping to start there lives together well here until I'm more confident in putting directly into the ground :) hope you've had a lovely Saturday
