I'm not sure how to degrade-head these, should I pull off the stringy ends where the flower has fallen of or cut them off?

To dead head just cut them down to first set of leaves.

Choose a nice sunny spot in the garden which is well drained. They don't like soggy bottoms in the winter months 😊
