I have three kinds of #floweringmaple, and they're currently all in bloom.

When I told someone (when I was overwintering this monster in my already plant-cramped bedroom) that the cool foliage is caused by #mosaicvirus, they asked: When will it get better?

(Since you didn't ask, they identified as two-spirit.)

Does anyone else wish this #floweringmaple cultivar had showier flowers (like #Abutilon-tigereye!) to rival its spectacular leaves? 10July2020 #foliagefriday

This season--aside from fruits and vegetables--i'm all about shade-loving and/or pollinator-friendly plants. This pretty #Abutilon cultivar checks off both those boxes.
