This one's leaves are getting smaller, suggesting that the roots are crowded. Need to transfer her to a larger container so she'll be happier. An easy, fast grower with light green to glaucous leaves. Magenta, poppy-like flowers (produced spring to fall) bob aloft spikes up to 2' ft tall. A single mature plant can have a 3' ft spread. If you have a succulent-friendly climate and have room to spare, I highly recommend this beauty. Short-lived (2-3 yrs) but easily propagated via stem cuttings.

In order words, mutilate them before they die so that they may keep living.

A customer once asked me to recommend some plants for a full sun location. I started recommending #rockpurslane, but when she heard "#succulent" she shut me down, stating that she wanted #flowers. I couldn't help myself and suggested that she clearly isn't familiar with #succulents. She then told me to find someone else who could help her. I was more than happy to oblige, 'cause she was clearly an ignoramus. #Calandrinia-spectabilis #flower #pink 2May2019

Among the four, this #rockpurslane is the one I've been the most excited about. If you've seen it in bloom, you might feel the same way. (I've sold quite a few of these at work, actually.) #Calandrinia-spectabilis Check out this glowing review: https://www.anniesannuals.com/plants/view/?id=1930 #succulentsunday (17Mar2019)
