Gardening is like cooking. To improve, you need to be willing to make mistakes and experiment. Also, common names are garbage. Zone 9b, West Sac, CA.

Just planted my #orange tree in the backyard. When I told Kevin (my roommate) about my "act of commitment", he gave me a hug. 💚 19July2020

We're getting way more bees this year. Moved to a better location, in more senses than one.

So many flowers! They don't smell like garbage. She bore fruit for the first time last fall. Less than ten, but I gave them a lot of hang time and as a result they were sweet af

Not bad! Fruit tastes so much better when given time to ripen. I am a proud poppa! #gyo

This is the first time my potted orange tree (treelet) has produced fruit. Wasn't sure when they'd be ripe but a mystery critter harvested one and left the evidence so I guess it was time. Swipe left to see its progress over the years. 15Jan2020

Sep 2018. Still no oranges. It made an attempt, but the little guys didn't stay on to get big enough. I should've started fertilizing this guy sooner so it could support its fruit.
