Guys, I discovered a second #pumpkin! The leaves have been dying back, revealing this hidden gourd. If you like everyday surprises, plant a garden!

Is this pumpkin ready for a pickin'? I accepted two free little pumpkin starts in July, I had no idea what I was in for. They are LARGE, FAST-GROWING plants, yo. (Furthermore, the word #pumpkin can evoke alarming imagery if you turn it into a verb phrase.)

Are you hungry? If you want them sweet eat before October, or keep for carving

@thehardygardener what happens to the flavor if I wait 'til after October?

It get drier and more fiber strings. Better for seeds and carving, roasted later on in Oct

Thanks @cyndi needed your help

My five-year-old friend Westley was visiting. His reaction when I showed him this #pumpkin was: "Oh, crap! Jesus!"

😆From the mouths of babes.

Well, now I know that #pumpkin is kinda obnoxious. Cloaking the backyard with massive leaves, covering all smaller plants in its path, and showing no signs of slowing down. #sprawlingmonstosity

Any pumpkins 🎃 on the vine?

I’ve never seen a pumpkin flower! Awesome! I have got to try growing gourds.
It was my roommate's birthday the other day (Oct 20) and, during the days prior, I had been racking my brain, trying to come up with bday gift/activity ideas. On the day of his bday, he sent me a random text message at 2 a.m. to suggest that we carve the pumpkins. And we did! (Followed by wine and weed by a backyard bonfire.) It was my first time to carve a pumpkin and his first time to smoke weed. Yay, new experiences and bonding!
High time you finally carved yourself a pumpkin! (You should pardon the expression.)
On a High note I Love this
You look so happy to be up at 2am, dude! Love a bonfire, get your carve on
