Succulents are the perfect plants for depressives. Working two jobs and feeling meh for quite some time leaves one with little time and energy to take care of oneself, much less anything else. Fortunately, my dog and plants are conveniently low maintenance. Spent some time with them today. Bosco, who is typically overjoyed to see me, was focused on a squirrel or something and didn't rush over to greet me. (A dose of my own medicine?)
Was surprised to see that this little weirdo is flowering for the first time. I wish I could thrive on neglect. (2 Nov 2019)
This little guy is very nice. I too am glad for plants that thrive on neglect. Life gets busy. Enjoy your movie and your friend. 💞
Thanks, @lovestogarden! We're gonna see Joker!
Are you safe from fires 🔥?
It's hard for us to survive to live & live to survive! I also am trying to do more self care & better to myself! Plants are my therapy. They definitely keep me going & grounded! Remember to take care of yourself!! 🤗
@Sussanah no fire issues in my neck of the woods so far.
Thanks, @KariSamuel. Getting out of a stressful, dysfunctional workplace definitely qualifies as self-care.

One factor that helps me decide on a plant is what it'll look like when it's mature. After checking this one out on Google Images, I knew I had to get it. Especially since it was the only one left, ha ha. 29Sep2018
