Forsythia x intermedia 'Mindor'

Just 6 blooms on this 5’ tall shrub. It does leaf out nicely in partial shade. I think I’ll give it to a friend who has a sunny yard and then plant a yellow Kerria japonica instead. Thoughts?

In its first year, this #forsythia shrub survived a record-breaking winter, an April blizzard, and rabbits that devoured all the branches nearly to the ground. So delighted to see these first blooms.
