I remember growing up in Michigan, between our house and the neighbors nothing but a sea of violets! I loved just laying there and smelling them!

Wild violets grow like weeds in my front lawn and backyard garden beds. They seem to have a special knack for growing in the midst of rose bushes, thorns and all, making weeding a (literal) pain. Still, the flowers are so lovely that I just had to gather them before mowing the lawn!
