@titchyfra I thought that may be the case. They take a few years I think before you get a decent crop. I think it's like 3-4 years before they are actually good as the ones I have here are 4 years old and they are doing good now and last year were good
@titchyfra I would hold on they night he a little late as they are just starting to come out. When you have them let them grow as big as they can then when it'd end of season cut them down to a couple inches and do this for couple of years to get a good crop :)

@monagle I think planted around late Spring last year and it did have a solitary thin spear grow but there no sign of anything .....
