Otherwise, Look up cereus repandus. Euphorbias have a white, milky substance when you cut into them that’s toxic (will heal up quickly, just don’t get it on you- use a clean sharp knife and make sure you don’t have any open cuts on your hand) Cereus cacti don’t. @fearlessthereforepowerful Thank you, Christina! The spines are tan and straw-like. I have a few euphorbias and in person this guy looks very different. It is funny you mention the Peruvian Apple Cactus - bc that is exactly what I’ve been trying to find. I’ve been to several plant nurseries recently hunting for the night blooming cactus and I bought this little guy when the last nursery told me they didn’t have any cereus cacti. How funny if this is actually what kind of cactus I got!??

Do the spines have a reddish tinge to them? If so, euphorbia canariensis.
