Yes they are a little thorny @morgan252 but the flowers are amazing when they open and it has lovely glossy little deep green ovate leaves too. 🍃🌺👍🏻

Beautiful! Look like some buds on a bush I have but I don't think mine has thorns! Is yours leafless in winter with just the buds and flowers?

Yes it is Deciduous @morgan252 there are some thornless varieties so your plant may well be one of them? 👍🏻🌺👍🏻
