Rhododendron 'Moser's Maroon'

Help! I celebrated too soon…all the flowers are dropping off before they’ve even wilted! 😭 It’s also happening to my Cornus Kousa bracts. Is this a weather thing?

How much rain did you get yesterday, Hilly? It was nonstop here all day and very heavy at times so lots of plants have suffered. 😘

Lots of rain, although I think some were falling off before that so I wasn’t sure whether that was the cause… 🤔 @jacaranda

I don’t think the poor plants know what’s happening! Last week it was unbearably hot and now they’re drowning. It’s too crazy for words 😳😂😘

I know. Very sad as it had so many flowers this year, but maybe it was just a combination of things. Odd that the flowers haven’t wilted at all, same with the Cornus bracts, which haven’t even turned brown. 🤷🏻‍♀️ @jacaranda

Maybe they’re all sunbathing 🤣🤣

Finally a rhododendron which isn’t underperforming! Well done Moser’s Maroon, I’m very proud of you! 🤣👏🏻🎉
