Really pleased with the progress of my own homegrown #echeveria-lilacina-seedlings .It is a very slow process but I may get some interesting hybrids ? π
π so many! I want to try one day. Where do you buy seeds from?
You can online from reputable sellers but i collected from my own plants @jizzjizzy π
Doh! π How do you collect seeds from your own plants? Still learning. After flowers dry up?
Yes wait for the flower dries up crispy and carefully rub it between fingers onto a smooth container @jizzjizzy .grow in takeaway containers with lid on
Thank you!!!
The seeds are so tiny almost like dust particles @jizzjizzy
Yesterday I was crushing some dried flowers from the Fanfare. I didn't know. Cant see any seeds but yeah if there were like dust ... maybe I just spread seeds everywhere! π
πππΌππΌ they look great!
When you crush the flower hold over your other hand and you should see tiny really uniform dust like seeds falling down @jizzjizzy
Thanks Rich ! Getting there but slow! @richard.spicer.7906 π
Thank you so much for teaching me. I will be busy trying catching seeds in the garden soon. ππ

Trying my hand at growing seedlings from my own seeds from Echeveria Lilacina π
So tiny. Love Lilacina
Yes teeny tiny but exciting @rosegardengirl
I have purple echie seeds. Please help me to grow them...? π
Hi Yollandi @Yollymac .It's my first try growing from seeds and I just followed what my husband does with his cacti seeds.Really sandy mix with mimal potting mix sifted in take away boxes .Wet the mix and Sprinkle seeds on top and put lid on .Place in bright light not direct sun. After they germinate I have started taking the lids off for a couple of hours but watch the mix and dont let dry out. They seem to like the humidity with the lid on but slowly Ill try leaving lids off for longer each day.
@Yollymac continued. There seem to ne heaps of good youtube vids on how to grow from seed so maybe look there too.Still beginning for me so no expert yet lol π
Thanks so much! I have been scratching my head with all the info out there. I havenβt looked on YouTube though- will give it a go. Your babies are soo cute! π
Good luck π @Yollymac
And same to you!
Well these dont yet @Yollymac lol
πππππ
I am seriously going to have to come visit you for seed growing lessons.
