Gorgeous color! 😍

Another of my all time favs! Yours is particularly nice.

😍 super colour 👌🏼

Thanks Yolandi .Thank you Richard @Yollymac @richard.spicer.7906

@Muzz67 oh man this is beautiful

Thanks Hannah it's colouring up nicely and ive managed to germinate some seeds from it 😍 @hannahchristine

I apparently have an Orion but mine is not this colour. I'd love this colour 😍

The colour will change with sun look back at mine earlier in the year @vicki-lee

Good to know. Thank you. Mine hasn't been in the sun much as I didn't know where it had been prior to my purchase and given our harsh summer I've played safe with most and kept them out of the sun for most of the day

Yes introduce to sun slowly for sure @vicki-lee

I'm just starting to get more succulents it's very hot in sthrn Texas I bought one like this but I think I overwatered it the bottom petal(?) got all slimy it averages about 95 degrees here all day shade? Or partial morning sun and how often do u water I seems like I should put gravel on top also I'm i in the right road. I'd appreciate good advice. I'm getting ready to combine some in a pot with cactus soil and gavel in top I'm worrying about over watering thxs

The trick is to be a bit mean with them and only water when you can push your finger a long way into the soil and it's dry.Its better to under water than over water and try not to water on the leaves just the soil.If water sits in the rosette it can cause rot.I actually blow it out if this happens 😆 The soil must be very free draining too. When you water do it and the water should drain through quickly and then water again .If it doesnt drain quickly your soil mix may not be right. Its tricky

Cont. When its hot its best not to water even though tempting as the soil is hot and then it gets too humid causing rot. Many a precious succulent have been lost through this mistake.Mine in pots are under cover for some of the day and in summer I wait till evening to water and cross my fingers.Best to water really well once totally dry when sun not out if possible. Gravel can look nice but i only have a thin layer of fine stuff for looks rather than keeping water in.Many experts say dont use it

Cont. Also dont plant the succulent so its touching the soil is also a good tip so air can flow. Our oz summers have claimed lots of the more fussy echeveria from the heat and trying to get the watering right. GOOD LUCK with yours and hope i have been of some help @terrimclaughlin Terri 😆

@muzz67. Thxs for that solid advice I did think, as I kept looking at others pic of the echeveria I noticed they had gravel or pebbles I had to chance it out and I'll watch it with the heat it just my house faces northeast, the only!! Reason I'm glad it's not my house. You think it would do better with just sun til about 11:00 am than shade?? I'll ask cause it's going to get hotter I just don't have any sunny windows I'll figure it out Thxs again

@muzz67 sorry didn't read other comments til now so maybe I'll just put so vermiculite on top I was almost going to put some orchid soil in with the cactus soil it's ready to give me a lot of blooms I have a pic the day I got it, it's on my profile I bought that silver tin type container, oval shape about 16 inches long and about 10 wide I was going to be a variety in there and put her in the ctr. What do you suggest on the top layer orchid soil?

Not sure about the orchid soil ? Just as long as the whole mix is free draining.Morning sun untill 11 sounds good You could use a fine thin layer of gravel for looks on top ? @terrimclaughlin

I always seem to lose a few leaves after I bring them home. I water mine once a week of they are outside in the heat and every week and a half inside-depending on the pot size. Smaller pot, more often. Hth
