Sun stressed #Echeveria #echeveria-powderblue
So love this plant.
Wow That's lovely. So it's a succulent? Are they easy to grow and can you sell them at car boots ?
Love the colours!
@IlsonRootsProject succulents are easy to grow but this one isn't easy to come by in the UK. You could try echeveria "Perle von Nürnberg" which is easy to propagate and would sell well.
It's a shame you cant get these in the UK .They are easy to grow and pup like mad.I have multiple plants now from one original one @IlsonRootsProject Josie @Soph1e Sophie 😁
@Muzz67 it's such a shame, there's definitely a demand for them but we're so limited for choice compared to Australia and America.
Can they be grown from seed ? Surely I can get anything over the internet ? But it would be best to start off with an easy variety . I could do with a list of what people might buy at a car boot. The local flower shop people like us as well so maybe they might be able to help us selling stuff.
I guess you can get seeds to grow but not sure how easily. It is a bit of a challenge to successfully grow Echeveria from seeds though but possible Josie @IlsonRootsProject
Wish i could send you one Sophie @Soph1e 😉
Sigh! It's very nice though I need clover seed more at the moment tbh

Ok Succulent addicts you will know why I did this but I hated doing this beheading 😐 It became so tall and had put all its energy in to flowering if you scroll back at this champion's before pics. The Stem is sprouting new pups and I will replant the top soon as it is nearly callused over and will grow more roots once planted or so I'm told ! Hope so 🙄
I'm a bit impatient and didn't wait for mine to callous over and they've taken really well.
Oh thank you Roslyn I was a bit nervous .Ive just done it to Big red too and that was a bloodbath lol @rosegardengirl 😉😉😉
I have done this only once
It will be fine.
I do this all the time even with small ones the size of your finger and they are just fine :) Lots of energy inside them
Thanks Alex This huge one definately needed it. I'm sure it will be fine😉 @Alcurtis93

Now this is just too much ! Poor E.Powder Blue just stop it now ...enough is enough! !!
Looks like it's suffering for it. With orchids i just chop the bloom spike off when they look sickly
It is trying so hard It put out so many pups before flowering I have many now @Alcurtis93 Alex 😆
Reminds me of a mum with too many children to look after but very pretty 😉
Poor things needs a few taken off or maybe add Epsom salts for shock therapy. I would be staking up any spikes that fall over with small dowel rods and Velcro garden ties. They are so gentle on the plants and reusable. But that's me, can't stand to see flowers falling over. Not much room for staking in that lovely pot.🤗
@purplebird Michelle this enormous ech has been flowering for 3 months ! Ihave heaps of pups from it all growing in ground and in pots. Its a prolific mother .I plan to behead one it is finished flowering but ive been enjoying the flowers Oh and i have collected seeds also 😆😆
Oh and also Michelle @purplebird the ech is over 40 cm across. It will be a new plant once im done in a few months 😆
That sounds terrificβ. It has more spikes than I have seen on these types of plants. 🤗
Omg that's an insane quantity of flowers.
Crazy isn't it @Cheshire_Kat @gjones Its a trouper for sure 😆
Well done @Muzz67
