Corymbia ficifolia (I think) red/pink fluffy blooms are tropical and exotic. Will survive in coastal areas. #gumtree #floweringgum #australiannativeplants #coastal #salttolerant #fullsun #australianatives #australiantrees #gumtree #gum #gumtrees

Tremendous colour. I have the pink #corymbiaficifolia still in a pot. I'm about to put it in a bigger pot. It is grafted and supposed to be frost tolerant. I think I'll keep it under cover on my deck for the first winter. #pink #frost-tolerant.

Thanks @brightcolours - it's really striking but I'm not sure how it'll fit in my Devon country cottage garden
How big's your garden? Have you seen the grafted gums?

That's a really used link - thank you. My UK garden couldn't accommodate anything above 2m without losing all the light but I could look into something lower to be kept more like a shrub
Hmmm, so no flowering gum for you... Garden Drum is an excellent resource!
Thanks for this URL @brightcolours. I recently bought a pink grafted version. I was so puzzled by the small grafted tree and no-one in the garden shop could tell me much about it. We were all guessing. I'm planning to put it in a big pot and keep it sheltered for the first year as we get frosts. then move it into the garden - or paddock. Mine is called "Little Sweetie". #corymbiaficifolia
They're beautiful trees Bronwyn! @knockalong
Yes! I hope I manage to keep mine growing Katie. It had an abundance of pink flowers when I bought it - Even though only about 800mm high. Winter will be the clincher. Label says
