If you want more mint to use before the onset of winter you'll need to cut it back. But it's great for bringing pollinators into the garden... if you've a big pot maybe cut half back as a compromise?

Give it a good feed now eg with chook manure and replenish the mulch. As the weather cools the foliage will start looking tatty.
