Wohooooo first flower on the January cuttings 🍾
👏👏
Love these big daisies Naomi😍
That's great Naomi 👏
Beautiful 😍
I had one if these last summer but it didn't survive. Should I have taken cuttings? 😊
Lovely photo @naomi126
Cheers @Chester14 @katgreen @titchyfra , me to @thomasrat3 @juliesgarden 😊 hey @RuthRhodes I always take cuttings twice a year- they have personalitys- re cold, some seem fine , others turn there toes up 😬 no rhyme or reason ... but sea air they seem to perk with big time 😬😜 frost doesn't touch them in salt air if that's any use 🤓🤔😜😊😂
Thanks @Naomi126 - I might give the cuttings a try but bring them in for a bit. I'm at the edge of the Pennines so no salty air here unfortunately and we do get vicious winters so that's probably why it didn't survive. It was so lovely though, flowered all summer long 👍🏻👍🏻
Cool - @RuthRhodes - they take so easily - go for it. I'm Scotland 🤔 so if they can survive here your laughing with your fab microclimate there- you east or west side? Mine used to thrive in winters too in Bolton if that's any use on the side of Rivington ... stayed out all winter no hassle . Hope that helps . N
Oh make for long roots - and bubble wrap in the pot now... that will keep them toastie @RuthRhodes

Margaritte standard, ( salvaged from Homebase free because they thought it was dead 😂 2 years ago... He fell off the moving lorry( going to still hold a grudge for that one 😂) in January, ☃ on a very snowy day managed to find the it all in the debris 😁non worst for where and potted up in situe 😘 happy accident in the end, got a lot off cuttings coming on nicely from all the damaged broken bits...😜 hope the slugs get sapped with the cooper tape , 😜
A case of in the right place at the right time ! Im always on the look out for a bargin plant that maybe on its last legs so to speak , try to give any poor condition plants a chance to life👌👌
Me too I'm always at b&q getting plants for 50p or £1 as they forget to water them , i bring them home and give them a bit of loving care 😀😀
I too am a sucker for what I call the 'dead shelf' the more pathetic the plant looks the more likely I am to buy it...
Completely @joolza and @jane.mckiver we have to save them... Trouble is I'm broke😱 trying to pay for this place 😂😂😂 luckily I don't drive else I'd be there all the time 🤔😜 many a perplexed bus driver when I return from B&Q ( never on easy bus routes) always have to walk over a bypass😱😱😱😳😳😳😱😱
Handy shopping trolleys thou 😜🔺🔺🔺
Ha ha made me laugh u must of had some funny looks but good for u 😂😂🌷

Thought I'd sort the rest off the garden out yesterday before I get sucked into the veg side... Once I got the paints out, no pot was safe 😂😂😂 trying the glow paint to make for interest in the dark... Got very carried away...

Thanks to garden tags ivy finally worked out what my favourite plant and oh so many more from cuttings along the way is... First , well, it was broken! Cutting taken 2011 Grouville on a golf course . Is it native Jersey plant originally ? @David
These white Seaside Daisy's are common to most northern European coastlines I think Naomi. These look really healthy! Was this taken today? My pink Daisy's aren't the same species as yours but they do flower pretty much all year round except when it gets really hot and dry. I'm thinking I might take Barney for a walk on a certain Grouville golf course and get me some of these white ones!! 😉 So were you in Jersey on holiday?
@David oh cool thanks, not a holiday as such, a old friend / 😍 stays, sorry lives in Grouville, last time there ( far to long) was election week 2011, bit of work and pleasure, I went to take photos at Jersey Flowers and well Jersey as it so wonderful! for an exhibition.. Never got to go back for it( working ) by the Tourist Board and were used in a lot of the tourist blurb since..May have taken many many cuttings! Hopefully not from u, sorry..
@david , oh and the Daisy's are alone by the old fort.. And over round by the insiders tor road.. Oh and all along the polytunnels at Jersey plants.. Hope that helps..
@david Jersey really is wonderful, there's a little bit of me that stayed.. Scotland in miniature ..
It is a lovely little island! I arrived here in 2002 swearing it would only be for a few years... 😄 Thank you Naomi I will keep an eye out for the Daisy's... now stop reading those books and go to sleep!!!
@david , thanks , sorry , insomnia.. And a bit like a kid at Christmas with my first real garden to daydream about...
LOL that's fine! I can't wait to see it grow...

#Argyranthemum
Ok @David finally worked out exactly which these are , there Argyranthemum frutescens, summit White, Marguerite Daisy's 😜 the red vertion is called Meteor red.. 😎
I am pleased to hear that Naomi! Who'd have thought there would be so many different daisies?! I am beginning to doubt mine are Chrysanthemums now!!! 😬
#not as happy this #summit white #Marguerite now not in its geodome , I'll keep it in its hydroponics unit 😬 - 😊😂 blooming scorching in its new spot by the front door
