I’ve been house sitting for over a month packing to move at the same time, so I haven’t had time to be on social media! 😅 Here’s for some much needed updates! This fella is looking quite different now if that helps anyone with narrowing down his ID! 💕

Not my plant but I was buying plants yesterday and saw this! Looks exactly like the leaves on mine, also has some similar colour here and the flowers were the same as my little ones also. Just wondering if mine is a young one of what ever this plant is? Not fimbriata? #plantid-succulent

Unless this plant is fimbriata but it’s labelled #echeveria-defractens, either way I’m 100% this is a grown version of my bby. So what ever this plant is, mine is also! ☺️

Also was labelled by James of Succulents Australia Sales as the person I buy plants from buys everything from him. ☺️ I’m assuming he usually has the correct ID?

@naturespocket if I am uncertain of labelling, I have no hesitation in phoning the grower and usually find them helpful and informative. You will find your grower on google. 😊

You could change your link to say Echeveria (Unknown Variety) - That would remove it from the encyclopedia as an incorrect entry. If you could also remove the # symbol from one of your fimbiata tags? It duplicates the pictures every time you tag it. If that doesn't make sense, please tag me @karisamuel so I can assist you.

@Yollymac tagged this one for me so I didn’t want to remove it until I knew for sure! As for the duplicated picture, I understand and can remove one of the tags no problems ☺️ @KariSamuel

Succulents Australia is reknowned for poor ID’s and made up names. Will look into defractens for you.

Thanks Love! It makes it more clear and consistent within the encyclopedia! 😚

@KariSamuel - unfortunately the problem still persists that deleting the tag doesn’t remove the photo from it. Thought we had it fixed however it would seem not. I have raised it again.

@Yollymac - it did work for this entry! 🤔

@KariSamuel - it’s pretty inconsistent. I have been asking users to remove the plantid tag when identified so we only see the unidentified ones, but some still appear! I sent those examples on.

Last one to help with ID. Birds eye view. 🤓 #succulent

Could be Echeveria Fimbriata

Don’t forget to remove the plant Id tag once identified so we see only plants needing identification. 😃

I’m having trouble finding anything with that name that looks like this plant! The flowers are similar though but still waiting for them to be open because it looks like they could be yellow/orange. How did you ID this one? ☺️ (I’ll look for what you point out.) Also not seeing the small hairs it’s mentioning in the description but I’ll have another look. 👀👀 @yollymac

Hi Meg, have a look at this: http://www.crassulaceae.ch/de/artikel?akID=48&aaID=2&aiID=F&aID=1214

These are its #flowers. They aren’t open yet but look like they will be yellow/orange or both! Will post as soon as they open also but could help with identifying! ☺️🍃🌺 #succulent #flowering

Do you have a photo with the flowers fully open?

Help me identify this plant pls! Had defractens on the label! Just want to make sure! 😁 #echeveria #succulent

This is definitely not defractens- it is grey and has a different shape also. Here is the ICN link: http://www.crassulaceae.ch/de/artikel?akID=48&aaID=2&aiID=D&aID=1210 @naturespocket and @KariSamuel

Can agree that it’s not defractens! But just not sure it’s fimbriata, I can’t see a lot of the characteristics that ICN lists or the fimbriate edge it explains but I could be wrong! Just wanna know for sure, hate getting the names wrong if I give propagations to other people. 🤦🏻♀️ Promise I’m not trying to be annoying! Hahaha ☺️ @Yollymac

@naturespocket - no way! You aren’t annoying at all. I am more than happy to help. The flowers are wrong for Fimbriata, I agree. It just means we are back to the drawing board to search. It happens.. I have no problem with it if you would like to remove the current ID. I prefer to get it correct. Also, I am on FB messenger - feel free to message me anytime. 😊

I’ll keep it as unidentified for now! Thank you for your help so far though! I’ll keep researching tomorrow and see if I can find anything. ☺️ Will do! Am also happy to arrange a swap on there if I ever have anything you’re after. ☺️ @Yollymac

Just saw your comments. But I got no notification for them! Gah. Always happy to do swaps. Feel free to message me on FB msgr.

@naturespocket - Meg!!!! I think I may have found it!! Ok so the plant I have been looking at is E. Brown Sugar. I will post the ICN link next - bear in mind it’s the ideal plant posted there, the plants shape vary someone on their plant... however the flowers are identical AND if you start googling it, I have found plenty of examples that look exactly like your plant. http://www.crassulaceae.ch/de/artikel?akID=48&aaID=3&aiID=B&aID=212

It could be!! I saw a few on google that looked more similar to mine then the one pictures on ICN! I’ll have more of a look tomorrow but it very well could be brown sugar! 😄 I’m hoping the ID will become more clear as it gets bigger! ☺️ @Yollymac
Still no ideas anyone? #update #plantid-succulent ☺️
I think it's an Aeonium, maybe decorum?
Thank you @KelsiBriana! ☺️
